Urban Regeneration & Innovation
Our resident Brit, Connor offers PlusValue a fresh perspective from the other side of Europe. Analytical and impact-focussed, Connor wants to affect real societal change in environmental sustainability and developmental inequality.
Connor joined PlusValue as a Junior Researcher in late-2021, following the completion of his Master’s in October of the same year. His work has been broad, covering compatibilities between the Swiss and Italian innovation ecosystems, with a particular focus on long-term sustainability, as well as other work in urban regeneration and ESG. His native English has been an asset to our work: he has previous experience as a writer for executives at Fortune 500 companies, and so is our go-to for any editing.
Connor holds a Masters with Distinction in Governance, Conflict and Development from the University of York. While his dissertation focussed on Big Data electoral campaigning in the wake of the Cambridge Analytica scandal, he has also studied the development nexus and its relationship with conflict at length. Prior to his Masters, Connor graduated with Upper-Second Class Honours in English and Politics from the University of York. He also has more than 5 years of volunteering experience for Fairtrade, and has lobbied the British government and major businesses on improving trade and agricultural standards.
Connor is impassioned by wild swimming, an eclectic variety of music, and cooking.
