Designing a place-based territorial strategy for Palermo and surroundings
We supported the Metropolitan City of Palermo in the definition of a sustainable and innovative territorial strategy to reactivate and revitalise the urban area of Palermo in terms of competitive edge and attractivity. We investigated primary needs of 31 municipalities and formulated indications to define more detailed systemic projects impacting competitiveness, attractiveness, ecological and digital transition.
The strategy developed by PlusValue will pave the way to the implementation of innovative financial instruments and urban regeneration projects, ensuring the efficient spending of €240 million of the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF 2021-2027) by the Palermo urban area.

We developed a local development strategy for Palermo, a territory of 5,000 square kilometers with a population of over 1.2 million inhabitants by reliably valorising the considerable financial resources made available by Europe for the promotion of economic, social and territorial development.
